The rock retaining wall begins. There is 190 lineal feet of rock wall, at 4 feet tall. In order for it to somewhat match the rock on the front of the house, the rock is hand picked at the quarry for shape and for color to be more gray than neutral. It is then fit to be a square top wall.
The master bathroom’s paneling commences. There will be two cabinets on top of the countertop—one on each side—with the sinks in the middle and 3 mirrors. There is then a sit down vanity with lit mirror for my client’s make-up application. The wife may also use it from time to time.
A kitchen full of cabinets. The 13’ long island won’t be put into place until the wood floor goes in, so we can set it directly on top of the wood floor. There are some unique spaces, such as a serving window, transom cabinets over windows, as well as some handy appliance choices.
The master closet cabinets are set into place. From here, our crew will build the shelving units and hanging space. When all said and done, we will have a “his” and a “hers” side, complete with their own dressers, shoe racks, and closed cabinet storage for folded clothes.
The columns are starting to be built for the lower level. We build all of the parts and pieces first, and then assemble them and trim out the tops and botttoms once they are installed.
